There’s nothing better than a delicious, homemade salsa but next to that is pico de gallo. I’ve had it at numerous restaurants, bought it from the store or local farmer’s market, but I’ve never once tried making it! Why? Your guess is as good as mine. Seriously, I don’t know!! It’s SO easy!
I decided to take a shot at making it the other day when I had a craving for some tacos. Nothing tops a taco quite like some fresh pico! What’s even better, this pico de gallo recipe is so quick and easy, you can do it while your taco meat is browning (be careful not to add any chopped fingers into it though, so dice with caution).

Ingredients
- 3-4 Roma tomatoes (med/lg), diced
- 1/4 red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño, finely diced
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt
- 1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1-2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a medium size bowl and toss.
- Serve with some tortilla chips, or use as a topping on your tacos.
